About the time, the pace
and beautiful encounters
At the winery, every year is unique and no year is the same — the wine, the people, the whole life is in motion. Sometimes loud, then gentle, but never ever silent. The wine label of 2020 therefore communicates a surreal year, a year in the tension between nearness and distance, between restrictions and unlimited possibilities. This year seems to have been fallen out of time and created its very own pace.
In collaboration with the illustrator Max Löffler, we created a surreal imagery, where new encounters arise. A walking hourglass meets a vase with an eye, communicating the flexibility of time, a new encounter, an exchange — pouring wine out of time into the vessel, while also being observed from the viewers perspective blurring the line between nearness and distance.
